1983 Jeep CJ5. 4 speed manual 4.2L 258 engine. Owner has had everything mechanically completed to make it run perfectly. 96,000 miles. Very little rust. Comes with a -best top- soft top from JC Whitney, a bra for summer driving and some nice speakers to install. Drivers seat is brand new but there are tears on the passenger side as well as a bad back seat but can be easily replaced and the gas gauge doesn't work. 1983 Jeep Scrambler CJ8 Completely restored - all metal, smooth with no waves. Engine, transmission, complete chassis and rear-end -Dana 44 all overhauled. 258 AMC engine and all jeep parts, only change is a seat upgrade. Driven very little after restoration. Shown at cruise-ins, car shows, and parades. One of a Kind! The Jeep CJ-8 was a long wheel-base version of the CJ-7, introduced in 1981. It featured a 103-inch or 2,616 mm wheelbase and a removable half-cab, creating a small pick-up style box instead of utilizing a separate pickup bed. Only 27,792 were built in the five years of production. CJ-8s used the traditional transfer case and manual front-locking hubs to engage the four-wheel drive. Most had a four- or five-speed manual transmission, but a three-speed automatic transmission was an option.
